Just a quick reminder that we have a cardio tennis session Tuesday night from 6.30 until 7.30pm. All welcome, £4 for members, £5 for non-members. Please come along and feel free to invite a friend (tennis skills are not essential for this activity). The other two courts will be normal club night playing so do please come to club night if you just want to play tennis.
Mens Team I lost 7-2 away to Victoria this evening in some very close games, Ladies play Victoria on Thursday.
Finally we are hoping to start some trial box leagues up amongst members in June, look out for details.

Mens I Team away to Lutterworth

Along journey to one of the most southern matches this season, started with the home team a man short. Adrian and Alex started first but lost 9-3, followed closely by Derek and Martin loosing 9-7 (after being 2-5 up!). Rob and Steve recorded a 9-0 win. And that sequence followed all evening with Adrian and Alex loosing the other two matches to 1 and 3, Derek and Martin loosing 5 and 5, with Rob and Steve showing some sparkling form winning to 5 and a tie-break (where they had been behind!) So final score 6-3 to Lutterworth, but encouraging if the Mens I team can find another pair to match the form of Rob and Steve.

Good start for Men's II team

After an encouraging result at Wigston last Thurs (3-6 loss) the Oaks Mens II team today enjoyed a home win against Medbourne III. Rob & Steve won all three of their matches (9-5, 9-3, 9-7),  Derek & Martin won two (9-4, 7-9, 9-2) leaving Colin and Alex (7-9, 3-9, 1-9) whilst having a long rallies and coming close to winning their first game at least they could console themselves in a Team win of 5-4! Well done.
Good luck to the Mens I team away to Lutterworth and the Ladies at home to Greenfields on Thurs.
